Always make sure your wick, whether cotton or wood, is trimmed to 1/4" - Remember to trim your wick before each light to ensure a cleaner burn and expand the life of your candle's total burn time! Your candle will last longer and burn cleaner!
Candles can be dangerous if they're burning too long! We are all about safety - Safe products, safe burns and all around safe, healthy and enjoyable experiences! Please adhere to the following burn time chart:
Thinner Glass Jars: No more than 2.5 hours per burn
Thicker Glass Jars: No more than 4 hours per burn
Metal Tins & Wood/Coconut Bowls can burn up to 5 hours each burn
Keep at least one foot radius of clear space around and above your candle while it's burning!
Don't place a lit candle on the edge of anything!
Don't burn a candle near anything flammable!
Never light a candle on a shelf! Keep them away from walls and ceilings!
Don't leave burning candles unattended!
Never burn a candle within reach of babies, children or pets!
If you want to ensure a full burn from edge to edge, allow your candle to burn for the first time all the way to the container's edges. If you don't, you will notice a smaller melt pool - and your candle remembers that pattern! The next time you burn it, no matter how long, it will only burn to the edges of the previous melt pool! That's called "tunneling".
But if you do have to blow it out early and you see that it hasn't expanded to the edges fully, don't worry! You can fix your melt pool by simply using a craft heat gun or by using a piece of aluminum foil wrapped around your candle top. Let it burn fully to the edge and voila! All better!
