Humble Beginnings

SoulFinds is a small, family owned candle company. Candle making started as a hobby in our home. We found that it brought us wonderful conversation, connection, healing and great joy. We wanted to share that!

We use 100% vegan soy wax, fine essential oils, and all of our ingredients are completely toxin-free, ethically sourced and cruelty-free. Each candle is crafted with love and laughter, hand poured in Georgia... from Our Home to Yours!

Why? Because these are formed on our "off time" - When there are no expectations, just fun and creativity flowing! We believe that these special pieces truly belong with whoever they end up with, and there are no duplicates!

SoulFinds uses 100% organic soy vegan wax, made from organic soy beans, to make all of our candles and wax melts. No blending with paraffin or any other kinds of waxes! Producing a quality, safe product is our number one goal! It's the little things that matter!

The Dangers of Paraffin Wax: Did You Know?!

PARAFFIN WAX: What the Big Companies Use...

Big candle companies (pretty much all candles sold in stores, YES, all of your favorite popular candle brands included) use paraffin wax to make their candles. They are cheaper to produce, the wax solidifies more evenly with little to no imperfections, and paraffin wax contains additives that hold fragrance better so they can use less fragrance to achieve a strong-smelling candle with a longer burn time.

PARAFFIN WAX: The Dangers to Our Health...

But would you still buy those candles if you knew that paraffin wax burns off highly toxic benzene and toluene, two known carcinogens? These are both linked directly to lung cancer and asthma, as well as other cancers! So what is this stuff in store bought candles?

PARAFFIN WAX: CARCINOGEN #1 - TOLUENE

Toleune is derived from diesel fuel and is omitted in cigarette smoke, gasoline fumes and vehicle exhaust. YUCK! It is used to make paint and adhesive products. Toleune causes headaches, damage to the central nervous system, nausea, insomnia and fatigue. It also is a known carcinogen, tested and studied by OSHA and the CDC - yet still allowed to be used in candles that burn in our homes! The NIH has reported on toluene causing kidney damage, birth defects and respiratory issues. It deposits directly into our bloodstream when inhaled. No thank you!

PARAFFIN WAX: CARCINGOGEN #2 - BENZENE

Benzene is a known and proven carcinogen to humans. This stuff is BAD! The American Cancer Society acknowledges benzene as being a direct cause of cancer, particularily cancers of the bone marrow and blood, such as leukemia. The NIH cites benzene as being responsible for causing chromosomal changes to our bone marrow, resulting in cancer to both children and adults. In 2021, several personal care products such as deoderants and sunscreens, were recalled off of shelves for containing benzene. However, since benzene is burnt off in most types of smoke, the FDA and CDC are more lenient about it being used in candles. It is still super dangerous, nonetheless, and I wouldn't want it burning in my house!

Soy wax is made from all natural vegetable soy beans. That's it, folks. No nasty chemicals, no dangerous substances or ingredients that can make you seriously (or even slightly) ill. Just good old veggies, au-naturel. Our candles and wax melts are completely free of parabens, phthalates, and paraffins, so you know that you are getting a safe and healthy product! Our fine essential oils can actually help detoxify the air in your space! We really do make our candles and melts with love...

Two million households per year in the United States. Five thousand and two hundred people every DAY have their entire worlds turned upside down instantly with the diagnosis of cancer. Countless loved ones, family members and friends devastated and left feeling helpless and unsure of what to expect. Two million people per year face this brutal uphill battle. Two million too many.

Each of these candles were designed special for those of us who have been touched by cancer. For fighters, survivors, caregivers, family, spouses, friends… and for those who have lost their loved ones. The Warrior Collection was created with a purpose to help fill broken hearts with HOPE, LOVE and STRENGTH to endure their journeys.

If you’ve ever had to fight this beast, then you know how quickly all of the small things become the big things. Every single thing matters. Suddenly, every moment, every choice, every gesture counts. These candles are tokens of love. They are gestures of empathy, understanding, love, compassion and support when there simply are not words. Each of them comes with a heartfelt, encouraging message. Each of them handmade with tons of love. Handcrafted with your health in mind, made only with vegan soybean wax and therapeutic Grade A essential oils.
